Club Millésime @ Sofitel City Center review
Our first club experience (and lowkey happy we didn’t have to pay - saw the prices for the day pass and our eyes almost popped out) and it was really nice thanks to the very helpful staff, all of whom were ready to help and answer questions.
Generally, there are refreshments as long as the club is open, the standard seems to be cookies (tried the chocolate chip and double chocolate chip and both were yummy), as well as croissants (plain and flavoured) and a few danishes. There is a fridge with soft drinks and yogurt, and you can order coffee and tea as well.
Breakfast: 8am to 10:30am
I read online that there is a la carte breakfast but when we went, it was just a smaller selection of what was available at Racines, with the eggs made to order. The selection was quite basic Western: bacon, ham, cheese, hasbrowns, baked beans, etc, so if you want variety, you might want to go to the buffet at Racines instead.
Le Gouter: 3pm to 5pm
The day I went, le gouter consisted of two sweet and two savoury canapés. One of the savoury canapés (the one with the chilli sauce in the cup) was served warm, which was a nice surprise, though we preferred the mini pancake! Both little cakes were really nice as well. Teas available here are generally TWG teas.
Aperetif: 5:30pm to 7:30pm
I wasn’t sure what to expect but we were pleased to see that you could easily have a full dinner here! On the day we are there, there was baked fish, baked cauliflower, ngor hiang, smoked salmon, salad, etc. Overall a pretty decent spread.
The aperitif hour is also the cocktail hour and I think the only time you can get alcohol for free in the lounge. The selection was decent and staff were proactive in helping us top up our glasses.
The lounge also generally wasn’t very crowded, so no matter what time of day we visited, we could relax (compared to 1864 outside, which was bustling)! The indoor area is also much bigger, with newspapers and a TV, but there a few (maybe 4?) tables outdoor near the pool if you prefer to dine Al fresco.
