... Read moreWow, what an incredible 14-hour marathon at Disneyland! Even though my feet were screaming by the end, every single moment was worth it. When you spend a full day (and then some!) at the happiest place on Earth, you really get to experience it all, and piecing together a visual collage of the day is the perfect way to relive the magic.
My collages are bursting with memories, from the rush of hitting 12 rides to indulging in all the delicious park food. From the thrilling Matterhorn Bobsleds to the classic charm of 'it's a small world' and the adventurous Indiana Jones Adventure, each ride was a burst of magic. And yes, a quick hop over to Disney California Adventure meant I also got to experience the rush of the Incredicoaster – talk about covering ground! My strategy? Definitely using the Disneyland app to check wait times and strategically planning my next move. It’s amazing how many rides you can fit in when you’re on a mission, even with a few breaks for character sightings or just soaking in the atmosphere.
Speaking of breaks, the food is half the fun! My food collage captures some of the best bites: from a savory taco that hit the spot after a thrilling ride, to a wonderfully refreshing pink drink, and of course, those iconic churros that are a Disneyland staple (or maybe they were fluffy beignets, equally delightful!). Trying different snacks throughout the day not only keeps your energy up but also adds so much color and flavor to your memory album – perfect for those visual summaries.
One of the unexpected highlights that contributed to my unique collage was the Animation Academy. It's a fantastic, relaxing break where you get to unleash your inner artist. Learning to sketch beloved characters like Luca, Donald Duck, or the incredibly joyful Joy from Inside Out was such a fun experience. These personal drawings aren't just souvenirs; they're a creative way to remember your day and make your visual entries truly one-of-a-kind. And speaking of unique visuals, don't forget accessories! My Mickey Mouse ear headbands with a silver bow made for some super cute photo ops, especially against the park's vibrant backdrops.
For anyone else dreaming of an epic Disney day and wanting to create their own vibrant collages, here are a few tips I swear by after my 14-hour marathon: First, wear the most comfortable shoes you own – your feet will thank you! Second, stay hydrated and carry portable snacks to avoid long food lines. Third, always have a portable charger for your phone; you'll be snapping photos and checking the app constantly. Fourth, don't be afraid to take short breaks, even if it's just to sit on a bench and people-watch. Lastly, embrace the unexpected magic. Sometimes the best memories aren't planned, but captured in a spontaneous moment, ready to be added to your very own Disney adventure collage.
Overall, my Disneyland day was absolutely worth every tired step. It wasn't just about riding attractions; it was about soaking in the atmosphere, trying new foods, learning a new skill at the Animation Academy, and collecting a mental (and digital!) collage of unforgettable moments. Every photo, every sketch, every memory is a piece of that grand, vibrant Disney tapestry you get to weave.
I have not been to disneyland/world but I’d love to
go and experience it for the first time! I’m not good at drawing but I would definitely sign up for that even tho it would come out nothing like the original.
So beautiful 😭😍❤️
