Make chicken and dumplings with me 🤌

Chicken and dumpling!

Basic recipe: Two cooked chicken breasts(I use precooked whole chickens from the store. I eat the legs and wings later and use the bones for chicken stock. That recipe later)

A bag of frozen peas and carrots

Mushrooms

A can of Homeny, drained and rinsed

A can of condensed cream of mushroom soup

A can of milk, same as the soup

Add-ins: garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, chili flakes, heavy cream 2tbsp, white cooking sherry 2tbsp, pepper, salt substitute.

Cook everything on med until simmering, stirring often. I use a tall skillet with a lid. A big pot will do too.

Dumpling!

I use bisquick. 2/3 cups of milk, 2cups of bisquick. Stir, it will be thick. Plop them in clumps on top of simmering goodness. Cover and reduce heat to low. Without a pressure cooker or instipot, dumplings will take about a half hour to cook through.

Serve and enjoy. Leftovers reheat well. Serves 4-5.
