... Read moreMany people struggle with feeling God's presence in their lives, especially during difficult moments. Psalms 145:18 reminds us that God is always near to those who call on Him sincerely and truthfully. This means that the authenticity and honesty of our prayers are what truly connect us to God, not just the frequency or the circumstances of our calls. It’s common to question why God seems silent or distant, but often this perception arises because we measure His presence by how we feel emotionally rather than by His unchanging Word. Emotions fluctuate, but God's promises remain steadfast. When we invoke His name out of convenience, distraction, or only in times of crisis, we miss the deep connection that comes from wholeheartedly seeking Him. Furthermore, God's nearness is not dependent on human perfection but on our sincerity. This reassures us that even in moments of doubt or failure, we can approach God with an honest heart and find His comforting presence. The verse also challenges us to examine our relationship with God—is our spiritual distance due to a lack of genuine seeking? Deliberately making time for sincere prayer, meditation on Scripture, and openness to spiritual growth can help us experience God's closeness more deeply. Remember, calling on God in truth means removing pretenses and fully opening our hearts, trusting that He is near and listening. By embracing these truths, Psalms 145:18 becomes a beacon of hope and encouragement, assuring believers that God never turns away but remains close to those who earnestly seek Him.
