Weight Loss Journey:PCOS edition

Okay girls~ Another story time

So I finally reach my 90kg almost to the 80s

Im very proud of myself honestly

I went for massage yesterday (gua sha) to be exact. And the auntie started to make comments saying that I should start losing weight and stuff. I told her proudly that I lost like 20+ kg already. Then she was like I shouldn’t give up on myself. She say I look like I want to give up.

Um excuse me????

WHEN DID I WANT TO GIVE UP?

Then she continued about how unhealthy my body is and how I should do this I should do that

N NO she wasn’t hard selling anything

I feel like She was just having a session of venting on me

I know we plus size people look welcoming and nice but that shouldn’t be a reason why she can make use of me as of her pleasure to delight herself that she’s skinny or whatever

Is this common for anyone?🥹

It’s not just about the numbers on the scale—it's about learning to love and accept my body along the way. One thing I noticed is how others react differently to my progress, sometimes with unsolicited comments, which can be frustrating. For anyone dealing with PCOS and weight loss, it’s important to remember that this condition affects metabolism and hormones, making weight loss a unique experience for each individual. What worked for me might not work for everyone, but persistence and patience are key. I have also explored complementary methods like gua sha massage, which some say can support wellness and reduce stress, even if it’s not a direct weight loss method. Integrating self-care into my routine helped me stay motivated. Also, try not to let unsolicited opinions undermine your confidence. I realized that some comments come from misplaced concerns or the other person's insecurities, not from a supportive place. Staying focused on your health goals while cultivating self-love makes the journey more rewarding. Above all, connecting with others facing PCOS, through hashtags like #pcosweightloss and #pcosjourney, has been encouraging and empowering. Sharing stories and tips can create a community of support to help us all keep going.
