Weight Loss Journey PCOS edition
Some background:
I HATE EXERCISING!!!
But no choice, exercise is the only way that I can burn off calories
So it made me thinking:
WHAT IF I WALK HOME (~40mins) FROM WORK INSTEAD OF GOING TO THE GYM
Why it works?
1. Convenient
2. No need to go gym so many times per week
3. Reduce risks of burnout
4. Incorporate to lifestyle
Remember weight loss is not only about strict diet for a short period but changing your lifestyle habits~
From my experience, incorporating walking into my daily routine has not only helped with weight management but also improved my overall mood and energy levels, which can be challenging for those with PCOS. Unlike the pressure of keeping strict gym schedules, walking offers flexibility and less stress, making it easier to stay consistent. For anyone with PCOS struggling to exercise regularly, walking is a low-impact, accessible option that promotes fat burning without overwhelming your body. Plus, walking outside allows you to enjoy fresh air and clear your mind, which benefits hormonal balance. I also found that pairing my walks with mindful eating habits made a significant difference. It’s not about restrictive dieting but adopting sustainable, enjoyable habits that support long-term health. If gym sessions feel intimidating or exhausting, try swapping them for daily walks and see how your body responds over time—it might just be the manageable change you need.
