From personal experience, the key to success is not about strict deprivation but finding balance. During my recent holiday, I allowed myself to enjoy a variety of foods without guilt, but I made sure to move more throughout the day. Walking after meals, taking longer routes, or even simple stretching can help burn those extra calories. This approach made it easier to maintain my weight and even continue my progress. It's important to remember that with PCOS, metabolism can be slower, so slow and steady is the best method. Consistency matters more than perfection. Incorporating physical activities you love—be it dancing, swimming, or yoga—makes it sustainable. Also, focusing on nutrient-dense foods alongside indulgences helps maintain energy levels and manage insulin resistance, a common concern with PCOS. Drinking enough water and getting quality sleep are additional factors that supported my weight loss journey. Overall, treating yourself occasionally while keeping active supports both mental wellbeing and physical health. This mindset shift from 'dieting' to balanced living enabled me to enjoy my holiday without setbacks and stay on track with my weight loss goals.
