Carry Peace Forward

“Peace I leave with you; My peace I give to you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled; do not be afraid.”

‭‭John‬ ‭14‬:‭27‬

You are now someone who carries peace.

Into your home.

Into your workplace.

Into your friendships.

Into your church.

Into every conversation.

The world doesn’t just need more peaceful people.

It needs more peacemakers.

How will you intentionally become a peacemaker in the next season of your life?

... Read moreIn my journey of embracing peace, I've found that carrying peace forward is more than just a feeling—it’s an intentional practice. The scripture John 14:27 gently reminds us that the peace offered to us is unlike any peace given by the world; it calms our troubled hearts and frees us from fear. This verse encourages us to become active peacemakers, not just peaceful individuals. Applying this in everyday life means being mindful of how our words and actions impact those around us. At home, it could be as simple as choosing patience over frustration during tense moments. In the workplace, it may involve resolving conflicts with empathy and understanding rather than avoidance or argument. Friendships and church communities thrive when peace is a foundation. I’ve learned that intentional listening and showing grace even during disagreements can create a safe space for genuine connection. Carrying peace into every conversation requires conscious effort to speak with kindness and seek reconciliation. This practice of protection and propagation of peace aligns with the hashtag themes like #ProtectYourPeace and #PeaceInRelationships, which emphasize boundaries and harmony respectively. My personal experience is that when I commit to walking in peace daily (#WalkingInPeace), I not only experience internal calm but also influence my environment positively. Becoming a peacemaker is ultimately a purposeful lifestyle shift. It invites us to stand firm in peace amidst chaos, to be agents of calm and restoration where it’s most needed. Reflecting on how you can intentionally adopt this role in your own life can transform not only your perspective but also the broader impact you have on your community and beyond.
