College weekends: Mom visiting edition💌
This past weekend, my mom visited me here at UM. It was so much fun to see her and catch up, since I haven’t seen her since winter break! It’s always nice to have family visit, to get out of the campus bubble (and eat non dining hall food)! we had so much fun this weekend.
College weekends are the perfect opportunity for students to reconnect with family. When parents visit, it’s not just about getting a break from the campus dining hall food, but also enjoying quality time exploring the local area. Whether it’s enjoying a meal at a favorite restaurant or discovering new places together, these moments create lasting memories. For many students, weekends with family provide the much-needed emotional support, especially after long academic weeks. Activities like beach trips or shopping excursions can make visits feel like a mini-vacation. Parents often appreciate seeing their child's college life firsthand, deepening their understanding and connection. Make the most of these visits by planning ahead! Check out local events, fun dining spots, or scenic places to explore. In cities like Miami, options abound, from cultural events to beautiful beaches. Don't forget to take plenty of pictures to capture these special moments together – they are sure to be cherished for years to come.
