5 things to buy in japan!

3 days agoEdited to

... Read moreDuring my travels in Japan, I found that some small everyday items truly stood out for their quality and usefulness, which I continue to use long after returning home. One item that impressed me was the Japanese nail clippers. Unlike many clippers I've used elsewhere, these are sharp, precise, and built to last. I purchased mine at Don Quijote, and it has become my go-to grooming tool. Their precision makes nail care effortless and pleasant. Another lifesaver is the eSIM for instant data access. Navigating unfamiliar cities is much easier with reliable internet for maps, train schedules, and translation apps. I arranged mine online before the trip, and the seamless connectivity was invaluable, especially when exploring remote areas or catching last-minute travel changes. Japan’s love for coins means a coin purse is extremely handy. Since denominations like ¥1, ¥5, ¥10, and ¥100 coins are commonly used, carrying a compact coin purse helps keep your pockets and bags organized. I got mine from a Daiso store, and its cute yet practical design made it a perfect travel companion. Pimple patches are another gem, particularly helpful during humid summers or long travel days when skin can break out unexpectedly. These patches not only protect blemishes but also speed up healing. I would recommend checking out stores like Matsumoto Kiyoshi or Welcia for a variety of affordable options. Lastly, carrying a small handkerchief cannot be overstated. Many Japanese public restrooms don’t provide paper towels, so having your own towel or handkerchief is both practical and considerate. Muji and Loft offer excellent choices that are soft, durable, and easy to carry. If you’re visiting Japan soon, consider these everyday essentials not only as souvenirs but as practical tools that enhance your travel experience. They blend thoughtful Japanese design with everyday functionality, making them memorable keepsakes that continue to serve you long after your trip.
