Do You Remember This Historic Moment at Texas A&M in 1942? 🤠🐄
Step back in time to January 1942 at College Station, Texas! This incredible vintage shot, captured by the renowned photographer Arthur Rothstein, gives us a glimpse into the agricultural roots of what was then known as the Texas Agricultural and Mechanical College.
In the image image.png, you can see a majestic Hereford cow standing proudly alongside her young calf. 🐮 These two are positioned right in front of a classic wooden feeder, with the sun casting crisp shadows across the dusty Texas ground. The mother cow sports a distinctive set of curved horns and that classic white face, a true symbol of the Lone Star State's farming legacy. 🌾
It’s amazing to see how much the campus has changed since this photo was taken over 80 years ago!
