Snow = a behind chaotic trip hahaha! It was so cold but I:
Went to a Panhellenic conference in Indiana to table
Drove to Michigan
Taught at Michigan State SDT
Drove over 2 hours in the snow to Detroit
Packed all my stuff in my car bc it was freezing
Took 2 shuttles
Flew home 💜
Crazy 2 day trip!
Traveling during a snowstorm is always unpredictable, but it can also build unforgettable memories. During my recent trip, I faced icy roads, packed up all my belongings in freezing temperatures, and navigated multiple transport methods—from driving over two hours in snow-covered areas to taking two shuttles and then flying home. One thing I learned is the importance of careful planning and flexibility when weather conditions are so harsh. For example, I made sure my vehicle was winter-ready, equipped with snow tires and emergency supplies like blankets and snacks. It’s crucial to monitor weather updates closely and allow extra travel time for delays. Also, when flying out of airports during snowstorms, using off-airport parking can be a real time-saver and reduce stress when picking up your car under tough conditions. Attending the Panhellenic conference in Indiana and teaching at Michigan State SDT were highlights despite the cold, showing that sometimes pushing through challenges can make experiences even more rewarding. Whether you’re driving through snowy Michigan roads or catching shuttles at snowy airports, staying calm and prepared can turn a chaotic trip into a memorable adventure. The snowy scenes, though frustrating, offered a backdrop that was both challenging and beautiful. If you ever face similar winter travels, bring patience and warm layers—it’s worth it!
