When you focus too much on a person, it’s easy to lose your individuality and self-respect, which are actually what attract others the most. I’ve learned that confidence comes from embracing your own passions and life, not from constantly seeking validation from others. For example, spending time exploring Boston’s unique neighborhoods or engaging in hobbies can not only enrich your life but also provide great stories and shared interests when meeting new people. People appreciate authenticity, so when you stop stressing about whether someone is paying attention to you, it’s easier to connect on a genuine level. The humorous side of this is that sometimes, the more you try to be attractive, the less attractive you seem—like that funny phrase from the picture, "How to immediately unattract a man." It hits close to home because being overly obsessed or clingy can indeed be a turn-off. Instead, focusing on self-growth, having a laugh, and living fully are the best ways to catch someone's eye naturally. So, if you find yourself constantly asking, "Why are you so obsessed with boy Iwa?" it might be time to shift your focus back to yourself. Confidence and happiness are magnetic qualities—and Boston, with its lively and diverse social scene, offers plenty of opportunities to rediscover those. Remember, the key is to love yourself first; that’s when others will notice.
