When the temperature soars, finding ways to stay cool becomes a top priority. I usually start my day with plenty of water to stay hydrated, as heat can quickly dehydrate you without you realizing it. Wearing loose, light-colored clothing made of breathable fabrics like cotton can also make a big difference in comfort level. Finding shade or air-conditioned spaces is key, especially during the peak heat hours in the afternoon. Sometimes, just a cool breeze from a fan or opening windows can help a lot when air conditioning isn’t available. I also find that cold showers or damp washcloths on the neck and wrists provide immediate relief. Mood-wise, intense heat can make anyone feel a bit sluggish or irritable. Taking breaks, avoiding strenuous outdoor activities, and adjusting your schedule to do tasks early in the morning or later in the evening when it’s cooler can improve your day significantly. Plus, tasty cold treats like iced tea or frozen fruit pops are not only refreshing but also help beat the heat mentally.
