Tis’ the Seasonnnn😋🥔🥓🥣

Ingredients Needed:

🔹1 Small Onion

🔹Small bunch of green onions

🔹3 Medium Russet Potatoes

🔹Pack of Bacon

🔹Shredded Cheese (Mild Cheddar or Colby Jack)

🔹Half and half (or if you have milk and heavy cream that can be used as well)

🔹Sour cream

🔹Flour

🔹1 Carton of Chicken broth

🟠Start by cutting half or quarter of a pack of bacon in chucks. Place it in a pot and fry until brown and crisp. Remove and add to paper towel to drain grease, leaving remaining bacon grease in the pot. (This is the same pot you will add all ingredients to, so make sure it is a big enough soup pot). Half of the bacon will be used to go into the soup and other half for garnish once soup is plated

🟠Dice small onion and add to the pot with bacon grease. Sauté until onions have started to brown

🟠Add 2 tablespoons of flour to the pot and stir around with onions. Stirring maybe for 1-2 minutes to remove flour taste

🟠Slowing start adding in all your chicken broth with a whisk until everything is mixed together

🟠Add 1 cup of half and half (or half cup of milk and half cup of heavy cream)

🟠Add diced potatoes

🟠Add some green onions

🟠Stir all together and cover pot. Let potatoes cook and simmer for about 15-17 mins or until soft but not too soft

🟠Turn heat down to low-medium

🟠Add seasonings (I used garlic powder, onion powder, salt, pepper, Tony’s, paprika, pinch of cayenne)

🟠Add 1/4 cup of sour cream for creamier soup

🟠Add half of cooked bacon

🟠Add half cup of shredded cheese

🟠Stir slowly and let sit on low for about 7-10 mins, stirring occasionally

🟠Place potato soup in bowl to serve. Add shredded cheese, remaining cooked bacon, and green onions to the top of soup
