DID YOU KNOW… It takes 120 VOLUNTEER HOURS each and every weekend for the LOC to open Storrs Hill for FREE public skiing and riding!?! Next week is school vacation week and being open 12-4 each day will require an ADDITIONAL 120 hours!!
Remember to thank your volunteers!! Everyone you see is dedicating their free time to ensure you and your family have fun and stay safe and well fed! PLEASE ASK HOW YOU CAN HELP! Volunteering is fun and training is easy! Just a couple of hours here and there can make a huge difference!! When we do not have adequate staffing, we cannot safely operate and almost limit hours or close - and we sure dont want that to happen. 🙁
The 120 weekend volunteer hours includes kitchen help, lift attendants, and ski patrollers but does not count time spent fundraising, planning, organizing, grooming, coaching, lessons instruction, maintaining our lift and our small and large equipment, shopping for food, and our many special events!!
