Im not going to lie, when I saw others opening this album I didn’t like the concept of a magazine styled book. But after I bought it and looked through it I have decided that it is one of the coolest albums I own, I actually ended up loving the style of it.
However, I was a bit confused by the numbers on the back of the eye cards, and their blacked out names. I’m sure I can do some digging and figure out what they are! #albums#ENHYPEN#kpop#ENGENE

... Read moreOkay, so let's dive deeper into that little mystery I mentioned about the blacked-out names on the eye cards in the ENHYPEN 'DESIRE: UNLEASH' album! When I first saw them, I was genuinely stumped, and I know many fellow ENGENEs and K-Pop collectors have felt the same way with different albums. These kinds of enigmatic inclusions are actually a super fun part of K-Pop collecting, often sparking huge discussions online. It’s like the designers know exactly how to get us theorizing!
My personal theory for these blacked-out names, especially given the 'DESIRE: UNLEASH' album's overall dark, red-toned aesthetic and the mysterious eye-themed photocards, is that they might be clues for a future concept or perhaps even connect to hidden lore within ENHYPEN's universe. K-Pop groups are masters of storytelling through their releases! Sometimes, these 'hidden' elements could represent subunits, past selves, or even unrevealed facets of the members' personalities. When I saw the tracklist, with songs like 'Flashover' and 'Bad Desire,' I immediately thought about how these titles hint at a deeper, perhaps darker narrative. What if the numbers on the back of those eye cards are a code for something specific? I’ve seen fans decode everything from comeback dates to secret messages using similar album details, meticulously analyzing every tiny detail.
For anyone new to K-Pop album collecting, don't be afraid to dig into fan theories! Websites like Reddit, Twitter, and even dedicated K-Pop forums are goldmines for deciphering these puzzles. It’s part of the communal experience, truly, and it makes collecting so much more engaging. Beyond the mysteries, unboxing an album like 'DESIRE: UNLEASH' is always an experience for me. The OCR mentioned stunning visuals of Jungwon, Sunoo, and Ni-ki – and let me tell you, their individual photos are just incredible! The attention to detail in the styling, from the paint splatters on certain member shots to the striking red filters, makes each page a piece of art that you want to revisit again and again. You can see why this album quickly became one of my favorites despite my initial hesitation.
When you're unboxing your own K-Pop albums, always take your time to appreciate everything. I’ve learned to carefully handle the inclusions, especially the photo cards and posters – like the folded poster with the group members in their dark attire. Protecting your treasures is key! Sleeving your photo cards, especially cherished ones like those of Jungwon, Sunoo, or Ni-ki, is a must-do to prevent any damage. And don't forget to display your favorite pieces! Seeing the striking cover of 'DESIRE: UNLEASH' or a favorite photocard on my shelf always brings a smile to my face and reminds me of the artistry. The magazine-style of this album, which I initially doubted, actually makes it perfect for flipping through and discovering new details each time. It's not just an album; it's an interactive experience that keeps you guessing and connects you deeper to the artist's world, making the entire collecting journey so much more rewarding.
The one I originally wanted was make ver but of course it was sold out, but I actually do like the style to this album. At first, I was a bit concerned because it came in a sealed and anybody can just grab and take whatever but luckily I got my photo cards lol😂
