I do my own at home and there’s so many benefits !
1) it’s way cheaper to learn how to do your nails, then going to a salon
2) when you go to the salon and if they mess up your nails, sometimes you get shy to correct them so if you mess up your own nails is your own full and you have no one to blame but yourself
3) it teaches you patience
4) practice makes perfect
5) it’s super easy to do !
how I do my nails !
🛍Brand: Beatles (Amazon)
First, I filed down my nailbeds to get them dull
Next i dehydrate my nails using a no dehydrator or alcohol wipes
Next I use a prime and prep for gel x extensions so they don’t lift
Next, I find the nail extension that fits my nail bed
Next, I take my basecoat I put it in layer on my nail bed and a thick layer on the nail extension
Next, I put it on on a 90° angle and press it down and make sure there’s no air bubbles and I cure it with the lamp 60 seconds
After a cure, all of them, I go in with the polish, and after every color with the polish I cure underneath for 30 seconds once I’m done with the polish, I go in with the topcoat and I cure it for 60 seconds !
... Read moreOkay, so you've seen how straightforward and rewarding doing your own Gel X nails at home can be! It's truly a game-changer for my wallet and my nail game. But let's dive even deeper into perfecting those popular styles, like red nail designs square, and really talk about why DIY often beats a trip to the salon gel x nails establishment.
First up, let's talk about those stunning red nail designs square that are always in style. Red is such a classic, bold choice, and achieving that crisp, perfect square shape with Gel X at home is totally doable. When you're filing down your natural nails and shaping your Gel X tips, remember to really pay attention to those side walls to get that sharp, clean square silhouette. For the color, try applying your red gel polish in two or three thin coats, curing each layer completely. This prevents bubbling and ensures a rich, opaque finish. I've found that sometimes, going for a matte topcoat with red, just like the matte red square nails I once tried, gives it such a chic, sophisticated vibe. Or, if you're feeling a little extra, a single accent nail with a tiny glitter detail or even a simple line design can elevate your red square look. The beauty of DIY is you can experiment without the extra salon charge!
Now, about the salon gel x nails experience versus rocking your own at home. Beyond just saving a ton of money, there are so many other benefits I’ve discovered. For one, you have complete control over the products used. I love knowing exactly what's going on my nails and ensuring everything is clean and hygienic. Plus, let's be real, sometimes at the salon, you might feel a bit rushed, or shy to speak up if something isn't quite right. When you do your own, you can take all the time you need. If you mess up, it's just a learning moment, and you're the only one to blame – and fix! It really teaches you patience and attention to detail.
Think about it: no more scheduling appointments around your busy life! You can do your nails whenever inspiration strikes, whether it's a quiet Sunday afternoon or a late-night pamper session. While a salon offers the luxury of being pampered, doing it yourself gives you the freedom and a genuine sense of accomplishment. You become the expert for your own nails!
And once you've mastered the basics, the world of gel X nails designs opens up even further. You can easily switch between shapes like elegant coffin-shaped or classic almond-shaped nails. Want to try a trendy French tip or add some sparkle with rhinestone accents? All of these are within your reach with a little practice and the right tools. I've even seen people do amazing pastel French tips at home, just like those cute ones in the pictures. It's all about having fun and expressing your style! So, don't be afraid to keep practicing, keep experimenting, and enjoy your beautiful, self-made manicures.
I would build a solan for my wife but she don’t even have the patience to learn I’ve tried hundreds of times and turns into her being grumpy rest of the day.
I’m good I’ll keep $120 in budget for her nails monthly.
