Curious
In reflecting on the theme of 'Becoming her in some ways... Already her in others,' I've found that personal growth is a gradual but deeply rewarding process. This phrase resonates strongly as it highlights the beautiful tension between our current selves and the people we aspire to be. For me, becoming aligned with my future self, or what some might call my 2026 alignment, means engaging in continuous self-exploration and embracing curiosity about the unknown aspects of life. Each step toward self-alignment involves embracing new experiences and reflecting on past growth, which helps cultivate a strong sense of identity. I remember when I first started focusing on my future goals, it felt overwhelming, but framing my journey with incremental changes made it manageable and fulfilling. Curiosity became my fuel; instead of fearing the unknown, I saw it as an opportunity to become a fuller version of myself. Another key insight is the importance of patience and kindness towards oneself during this process. Progress isn't always linear, and sometimes you feel like you’re more 'her' than not, while at other times, it's a work in progress. The phrase ‘already her in others’ reassures you that elements of your future self already exist within you, waiting to be nurtured. From my experience, aligning with who I want to be in the future is about setting intentional goals, practicing mindfulness, and surrounding myself with supportive people who encourage growth. Techniques such as journaling, visualization, and affirmations have proven invaluable. Ultimately, embracing curiosity and remaining open to transformation allows us to become more authentic and empowered versions of ourselves. This path of self-alignment is ongoing but deeply satisfying, making the anticipation of our future selves a motivating and hopeful journey.
