Let’s try this out haha😅
Hey everyone! So glad you stopped by to hear a bit about my life on the road. Many of you know me as the 'Pink Trucker Mom,' and honestly, it’s a title I wear with pride! My Peterbilt isn't just a truck; it's my office, my home away from home, and sometimes, my sanctuary. The 'pink' started as a little personal touch – a splash of color to an otherwise rugged world – but it's become a symbol of strength and individuality for me, and a way to connect with others who appreciate a bit of flair on the highway! Being a mom and a long-haul trucker isn’t for the faint of heart, believe me. There are days I feel like I'm battling against the clock, the weather, and sometimes even loneliness. I remember one particular week, I was pushing hard, determined to make at least my $500 target, and it felt like every mile was a struggle. The weariness was real, the challenges constant. But then, when I finally delivered my load safely and saw that payment clear, there's such an incredible sense of accomplishment. It truly makes all the hard work and those 'luchas' (struggles) worth every drop of sweat. It’s a testament to what we can achieve when we set our minds to it. My kids are, without a doubt, my biggest motivators. We make sure to have our regular video calls, and they absolutely love hearing about my adventures, even the silly ones like trying to find the best roadside diner. It takes a lot of meticulous planning and a strong, understanding support system at home, but we make it work. Of course, I miss them terribly when I'm out on the road, but I also know that I'm out here building a better future for us, one mile at a time. This career has taught me so much about resilience, self-reliance, and finding strength I didn't even know I had. If you're a mom contemplating getting into trucking, I'd say go for it, but be prepared and do your homework. Research companies that are known for being family-friendly and offering good benefits. Invest in reliable communication tools to stay connected with your loved ones, and crucially, build a network of fellow 'trucker moms' – they are an absolute lifesaver! Sharing experiences and advice with others who truly understand the unique balance you're trying to strike is invaluable. Learn to skillfully manage your schedule, your finances, and perhaps most importantly, your downtime. Those quiet moments of peace, sipping coffee while watching the sunrise over a new, breathtaking landscape, are truly priceless and help recharge your spirit. It's not always glamorous, driving through unexpected storms or dealing with an inconvenient breakdown in the middle of nowhere. But honestly, the freedom of the open road, the incredible sights you get to see, and the profound satisfaction of a job well done are unparalleled. Every single trip is a new story waiting to unfold, a fresh challenge to overcome, and another proud step forward in my journey. I'm always here to share more of my experiences and connect with other amazing women out there, making their own way and thriving. Let's keep rolling and inspiring each other!
