Shake Shack’s West Coast BURGER 🍔🧅

Do you prefer the chicken sandwich or a burger when eating Shake Shack?

I recently tried Shake Shack's new limited West Coast burger and it was good. This is a dupe for In-N-Out which I've always wanted to try.

The burger was topped with:

American cheese

savory caramelized onions

honey-mustard-marinated pickles

and a Secret Sauce on a toasted potato bun

It was good to me will rate it 8.5/10 I felt like something was missing maybe more onions or a pepper to squeeze on it.

The standard chicken sandwich is topped with:

shredded lettuce

creamy herb mayo

Pickles

Always pretty good to me the mayo and pickles are phenomenal together. Tastes better than many chicken sandwiches from restaurants I give it a solid 8/10.

I approve and highly recommend both.

Ps - The west coast menu is limited edition.

... Read moreWhen I first heard about Shake Shack’s limited West Coast burger, I was intrigued by the idea of a burger inspired by the famous In-N-Out style. From my experience, the combination of American cheese, savory caramelized onions, honey-mustard-marinated pickles, and the secret sauce on a toasted potato bun creates a unique flavor profile that feels both familiar and fresh. Although I rated it 8.5/10, I personally felt adding a bit more caramelized onion or a dash of pepper could elevate it even further, making each bite more vibrant. On the other hand, the standard chicken sandwich at Shake Shack is no less impressive. Topped with shredded lettuce, creamy herb mayo, and pickles, it delivers a perfectly balanced taste where the mayo's richness complements the crunchy pickles beautifully. I find this chicken sandwich stands out compared to many others from different eateries, earning it a solid 8/10 in my book. Trying both items side-by-side helped me appreciate Shake Shack’s approach to creating flavorful Americana fast-food staples with a twist. The West Coast burger’s limited availability makes it a special treat for burger enthusiasts, while the chicken sandwich remains a reliably delicious choice year-round. If you’re curious about Shake Shack’s menu options, my suggestion is to try both and see which you prefer — the savory, slightly sweet notes of the West Coast burger or the creamy, tangy delight of the chicken sandwich. Personally, I’d recommend grabbing the West Coast burger before it’s gone, but keep the chicken sandwich on your radar for a classic fast-food experience with a gourmet touch. Has anyone tried experimenting with extra toppings like jalapeños or extra onions on the West Coast burger? Adding a spicy element might just complete the flavor profile. Let me know in the comments if you’ve customized these sandwiches and what your favorite combination is!
