Nail transformation
Real time stamps of how long it took me to do my nails at home. To remove my original set I first filed down as much as I could, then I applied some nail glue remover around each nail and let that sit for 1 minute before I soaked my nails in acetone with a few drops of vitamin E oil for rounds of 10 minutes at a time. In between soaks, I applied more glue remover as needed and removed what I could before soaking for another 10ish minutes. I worked one hand at a time so it does take me longer than it does in my mind 😂😅 when I applied my tips, I did one pinky very crooked and had to redo that one (which of course would happen 🙄). Once everything was on and ready, I applied 2 coats of black, followed by 1 coat of silver cat eye which I did something different one each nail, topped that with some blue chrome powder and, finally sealed it all with a glossy top coat. Doing a nail transformation at home can be both a rewarding and challenging experience, especially when you want a professional-looking result without the salon visit. One of the essential steps is properly removing your old nail set without damaging your natural nails. Filing down the previous gel or acrylic as much as possible is crucial before applying any nail glue remover or acetone soak. Vitamin E oil is a wonderful addition during soaking sessions as it helps condition and protect your nails from the harsh effects of acetone. Timing is also key. Soaking nails in acetone for about 10 minutes at a time allows the gel or glue to loosen effectively. It’s best to work one hand at a time to manage the process smoothly, even if it means it takes longer than expected. Patience is part of the process, especially when fixing small mishaps like crooked tips. When applying your tips, ensure each one fits well before securing them with nail glue to avoid having to redo any nails. Applying two coats of a rich black polish provides a solid base for creativity, while the silver cat eye polish adds a mesmerizing effect that’s easy to customize across each nail. The final touch of blue chrome powder brings a trendy, reflective look that elevates the entire manicure. Sealing everything with a glossy top coat ensures your nails stay shiny and durable. Incorporating products like Beetles Gel Polish and Gaoy Gel Polish, which are known for their vibrant colors and long-lasting finishes, is a great choice for your transformation. Following these steps not only results in a striking set of nails but also gives you the satisfaction of mastering at-home nail artistry. Remember, practice and patience will improve your skills with every session, making nail transformations both fun and fabulous!
