Phoebe the Bernadoodle
I began a dog training session with Phoebe.
Phoebe is a really neat dog, but she’s very disobedient! She barks to get what she wants, intentionally doesn’t listen, and will take you on a game of Chase.
And so the list goes on but she still so likable 😆

Training a Bernedoodle like Phoebe, who shows spirited and disobedient behavior, can indeed be a unique challenge. These dogs are a mix of Bernese Mountain Dog and Poodle, known for their intelligence, friendly personality, and sometimes stubborn streak. Effective training requires patience and consistency. One important tip is to establish clear communication through positive reinforcement. Reward Phoebe when she follows commands to encourage good habits. Since Phoebe barks to get what she wants, teaching a 'quiet' command can help curb excessive barking. Consistent use of this command combined with treats or praise when she obeys will gradually reduce undesired vocalizations. Phoebe’s tendency to take you on a game of Chase also signals a need for structured exercise and playtime. Large breed dogs like Bernedoodles benefit from daily physical activities to release energy, which can improve overall obedience during training sessions. Socialization is also crucial. Exposing Phoebe to different environments, people, and dogs like other #bernedoodle and #goldendoodle pups will enhance her adaptability and reduce anxiety-driven disobedience. Lastly, patience is key. Training sessions should be kept short but frequent, ensuring Phoebe remains engaged without becoming overwhelmed or bored. Over time, this approach fosters a respectful and enjoyable relationship between you and your beloved Bernedoodle puppy.
