I survived 2 under 2 😩
I had my babies 13 months apart at the age of 22.
Here I am now 28 years old , a mother to 5 & 6 year olds. Craziest part… “parenting” has probably been the easiest part of these last 6 years. (Oh I’m absolutely not ready for preteen or teenage years) it was • failed relationships • failed friendships • tough times at my job • loosing loved ones • trying to figure who I am as a person • trying to become financially independent and literate. Being a mom came naturally, I know for a fact if I was older, more experienced in life and ofc financially prepared having two under two probably would’ve been an even more beautiful experience. I look back at pictures and see how tired and dead my eyes look.. it wasn’t just two babies crying at once that depressed me it was • not having my own place • not being happy with their father • not following the plan I created in high school. But don’t give up to all my two under two moms out there. It gets better ❤️

Navigating the intense journey of parenting two children under the age of two can be overwhelming for many moms. The challenges include managing sleep deprivation, balancing responsibilities, and coping with societal pressures. Research shows that 13-month spacing between siblings can create unique dynamics. Mothers often experience a range of emotions from joy to stress during this time. To support moms, it’s vital to emphasize self-care and finding community. Those under two can provide companionship and opportunities for nurturing. Engaging in social support, like local parenting groups or online forums, can offer encouragement. Additionally, experts suggest that financial planning plays a significant role in parenting. Being financially prepared allows families to invest in necessary resources and childcare, easing stress. Parents are encouraged to seek professional advice to build financial literacy. Understanding stages of development in young children, and devising strategies to cope with their needs can significantly affect the parent-child relationship. Adjusting expectations and acknowledging the reality of your parenting journey is key. Remember, every mom’s experience is unique, and it’s important to embrace your own path. Leaning into vulnerability, sharing stories, and connecting with other moms can help foster a supportive environment, reminding you that you are not alone in this journey.
