Realistic Itinerary in Japan part 5

Here is my realistic itinerary with time stamps. I get overwhelmed when planning for any Japan trip. There are so many things and places to check out. Sometimes even having the fear of missing out and wanting to chase viral spots. But travelling shouldn't be stressful and a race to tick off places on the checklist - the corporate 9-6 or 9-5 is already a stressful race on its own.

... Read moreTraveling in Japan can be overwhelming, especially with countless must-see destinations and the pressure to catch viral spots. What I've learned from my Japan trips, including this detailed day in Kawaguchiko, is to embrace a relaxing pace instead of rushing through a checklist. Starting from Shinjuku Station at 9:30am, the journey via the Fuji Excursion Limited Express to Kawaguchiko Station is both efficient and scenic, offering stunning views of Mt. Fuji along the way. Arriving around 11:30am, it’s wise to store your luggage early at accommodation like Villa Resort Yumefuji, even if check-in is later. This way, you can freely explore without baggage worries. Lunch options nearby include local gems such as Yoshida Udon Shop, known for authentic handmade noodles that provide a true taste of regional cuisine. Afterward, purchasing a Kawaguchiko 2-Day Sightseeing Bus Pass at the station is very convenient for hopping between attractions like Kawaguchiko Herb Hall and Oike Park without hassle. One interesting tip: sometimes views of Mt. Fuji may be unexpectedly blocked, like by ads or weather, so remain flexible. Relax at your accommodation or visit local supermarkets like Ogino for snacks or souvenirs. Ending your day with local beers, such as Kirin drafts from a nearby spot, can provide a satisfying wind-down. This approach of time-stamped, realistic itinerary planning reduces stress and allows for genuine enjoyment of the sights and culture without feeling rushed. It also caters well for travelers balancing busy work life with the desire to explore Japan thoughtfully. Ultimately, remember that traveling should refresh your spirit, not overwhelm it.
