Realistic itinerary in Japan part 10 🇯🇵

Here is my realistic itinerary with time stamps. I get overwhelmed when planning for any Japan trip. There are so many things and places to check out. Sometimes even having the fear of missing out and wanting to chase viral spots. But travelling shouldn't be stressful and a race to tick off places on the checklist - the corporate 9-6 or 9-5 is already a stressful race on its own.

... Read moreWhen planning my trip to Japan, especially areas like Uji, Kyoto, and Osaka, I found that realistic timing made all the difference between a stressful rush and enjoyable exploration. Starting the day with breakfast at V Yoshinoya Uji, I appreciated how a good meal set a positive tone for the day ahead. Visiting Ujigami Jinja, one of Japan’s oldest Shinto shrines, was a peaceful and enriching experience. It’s less crowded compared to other famous temples, which allowed me to soak in the serene atmosphere. I also recommend hiking up Daikichiyama to the Observation Deck. The short hike rewarded me with stunning views that not many tourists see. It truly felt like a hidden gem. A stop at Fukujuen Uji, the local tea factory, gave me a deeper appreciation for Japan’s tea culture. Sampling fresh Uji tea right where it’s produced adds a special flavor to the trip not found in the usual tourist spots. Byodoin Temple is another highlight in Uji, with its famous Phoenix Hall. Arriving mid-afternoon allowed me to avoid large crowds and enjoy some quiet reflection. For dinner, Kyoto Station’s Ramen Koji offers a convenient yet diverse selection of ramen styles. It’s the perfect way to end a day of sightseeing, experiencing local flavors in a bustling environment. My advice for fellow travelers is to avoid overloading their itinerary with too many 'viral' or overly popular places. Instead, blending must-see landmarks with local experiences, and factoring in realistic travel times, creates a more rewarding and less stressful journey. Using time stamps like 10:05am to 11:27am for breakfast and temple visits helped me keep a relaxed pace while covering all I wanted to see.
