Limited leave, unlimited wonder.
Here’s how you can maximise your time in Taipei. I took nice photos and shop what I needed!
If you have a limited leave but want to soak in Taipei’s charm, Tamsui is definitely worth a day trip. I found the mix of coastal scenery and historic sites like the Sasa Kai Shrine really refreshing. For lunch and shopping, Xi Men Ting is the place to be—lots of lively stores and tasty local bites. One of my favorite experiences was wandering through Shihlin Night Market for dinner. The variety of street food and the bustling atmosphere made it a memorable evening. Plus, the Zhucun Izakaya Restaurant offered great photo opportunities with its unique décor. Don’t miss visiting Chiang Kai-Shek Memorial Hall for a touch of Taipei’s history. The balance of exploring busy markets and quiet cultural spots gave me a deep appreciation of the city, even on a tight schedule. Planning your Taipei trip in June? The weather is warm but manageable; just bring light clothes and stay hydrated. For families, there are also kids’ activities available nearby, so it’s exciting for travelers of all ages. Overall, combining these spots creates an unforgettable Taipei experience when your time is limited.
