Solo travel sounds fun but it comes with a lot of learning too… and realizing no one tells

you the little things that would’ve made it so much easier..

Most of what I’ve learned didn’t come from guides… it came from being there & figuring it out in real time.

Making small mistakes. Or big ones like missing my flight 🤦🏼‍♀️ and honestly, that’s the part that makes solo travel what it is.

You learn how to trust yourself more.

And enjoy your own company in a way you probably didn’t expect.

And if you’ve traveled solo before, what’s one thing you learned that no one told you?

Nervous to travel solo? Don’t worry I am running a group trip and you can join! Info 🔗

... Read moreSolo travel offers more than just sightseeing; it's a profound journey of personal growth and self-reliance. Based on my own adventures and common tips that travelers wish they knew earlier, here are some insights to help you make the most of your solo trip. First, carrying a card with no foreign transaction fees can save you a surprising amount of money. These hidden charges can add up, especially if you use your card for daily expenses abroad. It's a smart move to research and get a travel-friendly card before you leave. Second, while it’s tempting to eat near major tourist attractions, venturing just two to three streets away can get you the same delicious local food at half the price. This not only stretches your travel budget but also immerses you in more authentic culinary experiences. On your first day, consider joining a walking tour. Not only does this help you quickly get acquainted with the city layout, but it also eases the anxiety that often accompanies solo travel. You get to meet fellow travelers or locals, which can make your journey feel safer and more welcoming. Speaking of safety, staying in public areas where you can meet new people tends to provide a more secure environment. Whether it's a popular café or a hostel common room, social interaction not only enhances your experience but also signals to others that you are engaged and cautious. To balance comfort and budget, mix your accommodation choices. Splurge on a few special nights in a cozy or upscale place, and stay in more economical options on other nights. This approach creates memorable experiences without breaking the bank. Overall, solo travel teaches resilience and helps develop a trusting relationship with yourself. Mistakes like missing flights happen, but they offer valuable lessons. Most importantly, it encourages you to enjoy your own company, often in ways you wouldn’t expect. Embrace the small challenges and keep your mind open to new experiences.

No one tells you how quiet it gets when you start leaving grief.
You don’t “get over” grief… you start walking out of it. Grief doesn’t end in a moment. It loosens. It used to sit on your chest. Now it visits your throat. Then your thoughts. Then… only certain days. And one day you notice— you went hours without it. Not because you forgot. But
