After 4 weeks of being a World Cup volunteer tonight we get to party!!!

I worked downtown in Kansas City at the FIFA Fan Fest and had a blast just helping bring the whole experience together!

I am sad the experience is coming to an end but I can’t wait to volunteer at the next one!

... Read moreVolunteering at the FIFA World Cup Fan Fest in Kansas City was not just an opportunity to contribute to a major global event, but also a deeply rewarding personal journey. Over my four weeks of involvement, I witnessed firsthand the incredible energy and passion that soccer fans brought to the city. Being part of the organizing team gave me unique insights into the detailed coordination needed—from managing crowds to facilitating engaging fan experiences. The location itself, right in the heart of downtown Kansas City, created an electrifying atmosphere. Whether it was along State Avenue or near the main event areas, every corner was buzzing with excitement. The city’s vibrancy during the World Cup truly showcased the power of sports in bringing communities together. One of the highlights was seeing the diversity of fans from around the world united by their shared love of the game. Helping out not only meant guiding guests but also making new friends and learning about different cultures, which made the entire experience enriching. Although sad to see this chapter end, the joy and unforgettable memories have fueled my enthusiasm to volunteer for future events. For anyone considering volunteering at large-scale sporting events, I highly recommend it—it’s a fantastic way to gain new skills, meet passionate people, and play a role in something bigger than yourself.
