Looking for you

Most people aren’t stuck because they lack potential.

They’re stuck because they’re looking at their life through a lens they never chose.

A lens shaped by fear.

A lens shaped by pain.

A lens shaped by what other people told them they could or couldn’t become.

The moment you start questioning the lens…

everything changes.

If you’re tired of the same cycle…

If you’re tired of feeling like life is happening around you instead of through you…

If you’re ready to become who you were meant to be…

Welcome to Check Your Lens. 👁️✨

For years, I felt stuck, as if trapped in a narrative that wasn’t mine—one defined by self-doubt and fear inherited from past experiences and others’ opinions. It wasn’t until I consciously began to 'check my lens'—questioning those limiting beliefs and the stories I told myself—that I started to experience real change. The CYL concept resonated deeply with me. Viewing life through a lens shaped by fear or pain keeps us confined to patterns that don’t serve us. But once you start to challenge and replace these lenses, the world appears differently. Opportunities you never noticed before become visible, and your sense of agency grows. One practical step I took was journaling about the fears and assumptions that guided my decisions. This process helped me identify and dismantle those mental barriers. I also engaged in mindfulness practices to stay present, which helped reduce anxiety about the future and regret about the past. Sharing this journey with a community or support group can amplify your healing as well. Hearing others’ transformation stories inspired me and gave me strength during difficult moments. Ultimately, personal growth is not a linear path but a continuous process of self-discovery and healing. By embracing the Check Your Lens mindset, you allow yourself the freedom to redefine who you are beyond external influences, unlocking the potential you always had inside. If you find yourself feeling stuck or overwhelmed, remember that the power to change your story starts with the lens you choose to look through.

You should be looking for internships NOW!
Something I learned too late in college is that competitive summer internship programs at large, desirable companies often get posted in the fall, around 8 months prior to the summer you wish to intern! This is SO important because, if you’re not prepared, you risk not being able to land that in

have you been looking for a film camera?! 📷✨
nothing quite hits like actual film photos. maybe it’s the fact that you have to take the photo and be okay with whatever outcome you get (vs digital being tempted to shoot until it’s perfect,) or maybe it’s the nostalgic true natural grain? whatever the reason, film is magical and i know i was conf

Honorable mention is the Chestnut Spring series! There are some deceiving book covers out there that look innocent but are very spicy. What is the spiciest book you have read with a cute, innocent cover??? #currentlyreading #credence #lemon8bookclub #lemon8bookchallange #spicybooks
