Reflecting on what success means to me now, I've realized it's far less about external achievements and more about internal fulfillment. When I was younger, success was all about climbing the career ladder, earning recognition, and accumulating wealth. However, as life has taught me through various experiences, those markers don’t guarantee happiness or peace of mind. Over time, I learned to appreciate the smaller, often overlooked aspects of life that bring true satisfaction. Having healthy relationships became a priority—the kind where mutual support and understanding exist without judgment. Freedom, not just financially but emotionally and creatively, now feels like an essential pillar of success. I’ve also found that healing—whether from past mistakes, traumas, or unmet expectations—is a significant achievement that requires courage and patience. This journey toward healing changed how I wake up each day, making happiness a conscious choice rather than a fleeting moment. Moreover, being unapologetically myself, embracing quirks and authentic desires, represents a kind of success I rarely appreciated before. These changes in perspective helped me improve my self-awareness and mindset, aligning with the idea of "checking your lens" before judging what success looks like. From personal experience, the shift in perspective is a gradual process influenced by life’s challenges and growth opportunities. It’s important to keep questioning and refining what defines success for us as individuals, rather than adhering strictly to societal standards or past beliefs.
