Reflections on Today 1/9/25
Some days feel heavier than others, and today was one of those days. But in the midst of it all, I’ve realized the power of reflection and how important it is to process our feelings. Life has thrown its share of challenges my way, and sometimes I find myself questioning if I’m doing enough, if I’m good enough, or if I’m even on the right path.
But then I’m reminded of God’s promises, like in Proverbs 3:5-6, where He tells us to trust Him and not lean on our own understanding. It’s in those moments of doubt that I lean on faith and remember that growth isn’t always easy, and healing isn’t always linear.
I’ve also thought about relationships—how they shape us, challenge us, and sometimes hurt us. There are times when I feel like I’m not heard or understood, and it stings. But I also know that I can’t control how others see me or how they choose to engage with me. What I can control is how I choose to respond and how I let those experiences shape me for the better.
Today, I’m choosing to embrace growth and look forward. I’m choosing to celebrate the small wins, like the progress my son is making and the effort I’m putting into creating a better life for us both. I’m also choosing to let go of the things and people that don’t pour positivity into my life.
This is my journey—a journey of healing, faith, and love. Some days will feel heavier, but I’ll keep moving forward, trusting that God is directing my steps.
