I Made These

My art is very special to me. I hope you enjoy a snippet of my creations. All done on the iPad Pro with the Procreate app.

I also draw cartoons, but I love to draw my girls.

My inspirations are very abstract in that they are not usually found in physical, tangible ways.

I find inspiration in my own femininity, the music I listen to, my own ideas of what I strive to be, and feelings I do not relate to myself, but observe in others. Sometimes I dramatize it (I am an artist, after all).

I ask myself, what would this attitude look like? And I try to portray it through the face, colors. Lines. Not all of the attitudes are bright and positive, like in the second slide, the red portrait. To me, here is her story:

Beth (the character) has freshly went through a breakup. She may be having a dark night of the soul, but it’s more of a dark awakening. She turns twisted, wants to do more of her fair share of breaking hearts now. She is a psycho.

Note how she’s clearly going through something broken, through the literal broken heart of the face. It bleeds, like her internal wound. But she’s smiling. It’s an eerie expression, knowing her situation.

Not all of my characters have stronger stories behind them, at all 💁🏻‍♀️
