Okay, so let's really dive into my long-awaited experience with the L'Oréal Paris Lumi Glotion! Like I mentioned, it took me 31 years to finally try this viral sensation, and I'm so glad I did, especially because I got to compare two shades: Fair Glow and Light Glow. For all my fellow 'fair-ies' out there, this comparison is a must-read! My biggest hesitation before trying any glow product has always been finding the right shade that doesn't look too orange or, even worse, give off that dreaded blueish reflect I've seen in so many others. But I was pleasantly surprised by Lumi Glotion. The Fair Glow shade truly has a beautiful, natural champagne tone – no weird undertones here, which is a huge win for my cool-toned skin! I decided to put Fair Glow on one side of my face and Light Glow on the other for a real side-by-side 'before and after' comparison. The Fair Glow instantly gave my skin a lovely, subtle radiance. It blended seamlessly, making my complexion look healthier and more awake without feeling like I had a heavy layer of makeup on. It's truly that 'my skin but better' glow everyone talks about. Now, for the Light Glow. While it looked gorgeous swatched on my hand, on my very fair skin, it was a little too dark for an all-over application right now. It created a subtle 'chin strap' effect, which isn't what I'm going for on an everyday basis. However, I can totally see this shade being perfect for summer when I have a bit more color, or perhaps mixed into a foundation for a custom tinted moisturizer look. It's definitely not a write-off, just needs a different application strategy for us pale folks! One of the things I love most about the Fair Glow is its versatility. On days when I don't want a full face of makeup, a little bit of Lumi Glotion, some under-eye corrector, and mascara are all I need to feel put-together. It really helps enhance my skin's natural luminosity. I’m also super excited to experiment with it as a primer underneath my foundation. I’ve heard amazing things about how it creates a smooth, lit-from-within base, and I can’t wait to see how it performs with different foundations. So, does L'Oréal Lumi Glotion live up to the hype? For me, absolutely, especially the Fair Glow shade! It delivers a beautiful, natural-looking glow without any of the common pitfalls of other highlighting lotions. If you're looking for an easy way to achieve that dewy, fresh-faced look, whether on its own or as part of your makeup routine, I highly recommend giving it a try. Just pick your shade wisely, especially if you have fair skin like mine! What are your thoughts?
