ถ้าใครกำลังหา “ข้าวต้มลุงหนวด” หรือ “หนวดข้าวต้ม” ในมหาชัย บอกเลยว่าร้านนี้เป็นแนวข้าวต้มกุ๊ยบ้าน ๆ ที่กินง่าย แต่รสชาติถึง เครื่องแน่น เหมาะมากสำหรับมื้อดึกหรือวันที่อยากกินอะไรสบายท้องค่ะ (ป้ายหน้าร้านจะเห็นชัดว่า “ข้าวต้ม ลุงหนวด by ลูกชายลุงหนวด”) สิ่งที่เราชอบคือบรรยากาศแบบร้านริมทางจริง ๆ นั่งโต๊ะเหล็กสบาย ๆ ไม่ต้องคิดเยอะ เน้นเร็ว อิ่ม และเลือกกับข้าวได้หลายอย่าง จะมากัน 1-2 คน หรือยกแก๊งมาก็สั่งแชร์ได้ง่าย เมนูที่แนะนำให้ “ต้องสั่ง” ถ้ามาถึงร้านคือ ยำปลาสลิด ตัวปลาทอดมากรอบกำลังดี คลุกกับหอมแดง พริก ผักชี และน้ำยำรสจัดจ้าน เปรี้ยวเผ็ดมีหวานนิด ๆ กินกับข้าวต้มร้อน ๆ คือเข้ากันแบบหยุดไม่ได้ เป็นจานที่ทำให้ข้าวต้มธรรมดาดูพิเศษขึ้นทันที ส่วนกับข้าวแนวพื้นฐานที่สั่งแล้วไม่พลาด เราว่าผัดผักบุ้งน้ำมันหอยเป็นตัวเลือกที่ดีเพราะมาแบบสีเขียวสด ผัดซอสหอม ๆ มีพริกกับกระเทียมช่วยตัดเลี่ยน กินคู่ไข่เจียวก็ลงตัว ไข่เจียวของที่นี่จะมาแนวฟูกรอบ ขนาดกำลังดี เหมาะกับคนที่ชอบตักราดข้าวต้มแล้วซดตาม ทริคการสั่งให้คุ้มแบบเราคือ ถ้ามา 2 คน เลือกกับข้าว 3 อย่าง + 1 เมนูเด่น (เช่นยำปลาสลิด) ก็อิ่มมากแล้ว และราคาโดยรวมค่อนข้างน่ารัก แถมยังมีโอกาสเหลือให้ค่อย ๆ กินต่อได้ เรื่องพิกัด: ร้านอยู่ใต้สะพานลอยข้างโรงเรียนสมุทรสาครวิทยาลัย ใครผ่านแถวนี้ลองสังเกตป้ายไฟ “ข้าวต้มกุ๊ย By Lungnuad” จะเจอง่ายค่ะ ถ้าไม่รู้จะกินอะไรในมหาชัย มื้อนี้เป็นตัวเลือกที่ปลอดภัย อร่อย และคุ้มเงินจริง ๆ
