My Two Cents ✨
My two cents after three years in business and an MBA. Using everyday as an opportunity to grow and it’s hard to take your own advice sometimes. Continuing to learn, grow and adapt to all of life’s changes!
Starting and sustaining a small business presents countless challenges that require constant learning and adaptation. From my experience, one of the most valuable lessons is not to pass up opportunities, whether big or small. Each connection and chance to grow your network can lead to unexpected benefits, making networking crucial. I found that marketing yourself consistently keeps your business relevant and visible in a competitive market. However, balancing activity with mental health is critical—burnout is a real risk. It's important to recognize when you need to tune out and refocus before pushing ahead. Overthinking decisions often leads to hesitation; instead, maintain steady momentum and adapt as needed. Winning every battle isn't realistic, so learn to accept setbacks and use them as lessons for growth. Finally, treat every day as a new opportunity to improve. Be open to expanding your knowledge, whether through formal education or hands-on experience. Staying engaged with the small business community, such as the #shopsmall movement, can provide support and inspiration. Embracing these principles helped me grow and evolve both personally and professionally, despite the uncertainties along the way.
