How to Find True Peace.
At times, there are storms, bills due, sicknesses, and so many more problems in our everyday lives that we face. What can we do to find peace about such things when we don't have control over the situations that we face?
We can turn to God’s Word. Today I'm coming from Philippians 4:1-9.
Paul encourages believers to seek out ways to agree. I think that we can also choose this route. No, I am not saying we can't disagree about things but it doesn't help the body of Christ when there is internal fighting going on. Nowadays, you can find the back and forth right here online.
So, do we disagree as believers? Absolutely.
Should there be name-calling with the purpose of lifting oneself up and putting down another? No.
The heart posture matters and God is the ultimate judge.
In Pauls day, being a Christian could get you killed. (It still can in some places.) He wanted to encourage them to focus on “peace”.
In 2025, we too face challenges. There is inclusion for so many things today that weren't this way just 10 years ago. If you speak up against anything then that is equated to “hate”. It can be scary to be a bold Christian in front of the world but we are called to be bold and courageous. And we can do so with God's peace.
In summary, if you are facing challenges today and are in need of Gods peace, go to Him in prayer and with urgency. He will hear you and He will respond in the perfect way at the perfect time.
God is our true peace giver, God is our Emmanuel and we can trust Him.
Amen

In our modern lives, the quest for internal peace is often overshadowed by external pressures such as financial struggles, health issues, and societal disagreements. Philippians 4:1-9 serves as a guiding light, reminding us to focus on positive thoughts and seek agreement within our communities. Paul’s emphasis on unity is crucial in today’s divisive environment; as he suggests, we can find solace in God through prayer and thanksgiving, acknowledging His sovereignty amid chaos. The peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, is not merely a feeling but a divine assurance that guards our hearts and minds. As believers, we are invited to align our focus on that which is true, just, and commendable, cultivating an atmosphere of encouragement and strength. This passage underscores the importance of prayer—bringing our needs and anxieties to God with an open heart. In addition to prayer, biblical encouragement plays a vital role in nurturing a peaceful mindset. Engaging with scripture, particularly verses that resonate during tough times, can reinforce our spiritual foundation and provide support from fellow Christians. Communities where believers uplift each other foster a safe space for open dialogue and healing. Ultimately, true peace is not merely the absence of turmoil, but the presence of God’s spirit within us, empowering us to face life’s challenges with courage and strength. Trusting in God’s perfect timing for answers to our prayers is paramount; it reminds us that we are not alone in our struggles. As we strive to embody God’s peace, let us commit to supporting one another and sharing in the joy and hope that stems from our faith.
