My February TBR 🌷💕

I may have already read/finished two of these in the first couple days of the month, but I’m still including them here!

For February, I’m going a little lighter on myself in terms of my expectations because a lot of my time now is taken up by schoolwork. I still am working towards the reading goals I have set for 2026, but I made a lot of progress towards them in January, so I don’t need to push myself too hard.

For my physical TBR, I choose a prompt from my TBR jar to read a book with over 500 pages. I chose three of those from the books that I own, but I am reading Wild Reverence for a book club and it just so happens to be over 500 pages as well! I am continuing the Heroes of Olympus series, but I don’t own the final book so I decided to get the Blood of Olympus as an audiobook from Libby instead.

My digital TBR is small this month, so I’m expecting to finish it all and move on to other ARCs that I have, but like I said I didn’t want to push myself too hard. I have been reading ebooks pretty quickly since I got my kindle, but that could just be because it’s new and exciting to use it. The first book (which I already finished) is the last volume of the Fragrant Flower Blooms with Dignity that is available to me on Libby. Then, I am going to move on to the Winterdark Series. I have had the first book on kindle account for a while and I saw that book 2 is coming out this May, so I got it from NetGalley.

My audio TBR is the longest because I know I finish audiobooks quickly because I can spend a lot of time listening to them. I’m reading two nonfiction books this month, which is another one of my 2026 goals. I already finished Wordslut and I’m reading 107 Days now, so I am going to be ahead of schedule for reading 12 nonfiction books. I other three audiobooks I plan to read this month are sequels to series I have already started.

... Read moreManaging a reading list in a busy month can be challenging, especially when balancing schoolwork and personal goals. I find that setting realistic targets, like the author’s approach to having a lighter February TBR, prevents burnout and keeps reading enjoyable. For readers aiming to read larger books, such as those over 500 pages like Wild Reverence or The Blood of Olympus, breaking reading sessions into manageable chunks works well. If you enjoy audiobooks, leveraging services like Libby and NetGalley allows seamless integration of books into your daily routine, such as during commutes or chores. Incorporating nonfiction reading, as highlighted with books like Wordslut and 107 Days, can diversify your TBR and contribute to personal growth. I recommend mixing genres to maintain motivation and gain different perspectives throughout the month. Digital reading platforms, like Kindle, add excitement and convenience. The novelty of new devices can boost reading speed and enjoyment initially, which is a great way to power through shorter TBR lists or ARCs. Joining book clubs or themed reading groups helps keep motivation high. For example, reading Wild Reverence for a book club can introduce new insights and enhance the experience. Overall, maintaining flexibility, setting clear but achievable goals, and using a mix of reading formats ensures steady progress while keeping reading pleasurable throughout the month and beyond.
