75 Medium Day 10

Today was a tough day. Not every election can go your way but this one hurt particularly bad. I left work early because I couldn’t stop crying. I’m not a person who cries easily so it felt really bad to cry at work and have to leave early. I took a long walk to the Kpop store and bought an album that I’ve wanted for a while. Then after eating something finally and doing my Korean homework, I felt so drained that I’m already in bed. Going to read and drink some water and just sleep early to hopefully replenish my soul. I hope everyone is taking care of their hearts especially my fellow black women. #75medium #lemon8diarychallenge

Life can sometimes be overwhelming, particularly during emotionally charged events such as elections. For many, like my fellow black women, it's essential to validate feelings of hurt and sadness. Self-care practices, such as ensuring an outdoor walk, can significantly repair our mental state. Studies show that physical activity boosts mood due to the release of endorphins, and walking can help clear the mind. Additionally, immersing ourselves in passions—like Kpop—can uplift spirits and provide comfort. Whether it’s a favorite album, a comforting book, or simply getting enough quality rest, each step can help replenish our souls. During challenging times, reinforcing connections with community and loved ones can assist in the healing process. Remember to drink water and nourish your body as you navigate through these emotions. Always be kind to yourself.
