my travel map ✈️🌴✨💕🎈

i’ve visited 22 states in the United States! working my way up to all of them 🥹🥹

2025/1/5 Edited to

... Read moreWow, it feels incredible to look at my personal US regional travel map and see 22 states highlighted! This journey to explore more of the United States has been an absolute blast, and I love having a visual reminder of all the places I've been. My 'States I've Been To' map currently shows 22 states, which means I've already covered a fantastic 44% of the US! Each trip has created such unique memories, and I’m always dreaming of the next adventure. Creating my own regional map of the US has been a really motivating way to track my progress and appreciate the sheer variety our country offers. It’s not just about ticking off states; it’s about collecting memories, tasting new foods, and meeting different people. I love how my map shows not just where I've been, but also highlights my absolute favorite spots with little pink hearts, just like the ones on my Lemon8 graphic. Let me tell you about some of those heart-marked states, the ones that truly captured my spirit: California (CA): Oh, California! From the sunny beaches of Southern California to the stunning redwoods in the north and the vibrant city life of San Francisco, it's truly a state of diverse landscapes and endless adventures. Driving along Highway 1 was an unforgettable experience, with breathtaking ocean views at every turn. Texas (TX): Everything's bigger in Texas, and so are the experiences! Austin's live music scene, Houston's incredible space center, and the rich history of San Antonio – it's a state that constantly surprises. I particularly loved exploring the historic missions in San Antonio; it felt like stepping back in time. Kentucky (KY): There's so much more to Kentucky than just bourbon and horses! The natural beauty of Mammoth Cave National Park blew me away, and the charm of Louisville was really special. It felt like stepping into a different kind of Americana, full of genuine hospitality. Tennessee (TN): Nashville's legendary music scene, Memphis's soulful history, and the majestic Great Smoky Mountains – Tennessee has a deep, soulful vibe that truly captured my heart. The food alone, especially the BBQ, is worth the trip! Florida (FL): The Sunshine State for a reason! The endless pristine beaches, the unique wildlife of the Everglades, and the thrill of Orlando's theme parks. It's a perfect mix of relaxation and adventure. My time there always feels like a true getaway, perfect for soaking up the sun. If you're thinking about starting your own personal regional map of the US, whether it's a digital tracker, a scratch-off map, or even just a pinboard, I highly recommend it! It's such a fun and motivating way to see your progress and dream about future adventures. My ultimate goal is to visit all 50 states, and I’m so excited to keep adding more highlights to my map. What states are on your must-visit list?

Timeshifter is one of my all time favs. It tells you when to and when not to drink coffee, go to bed, nap, expose yourself to sunlight for the few days leading up to your trip and the first few days of your trip. It really eliminates that groggy feeling you get when you land in a new time zone.
