Why We Chose Birch Wood for Our Quonset Hut✨

We went back and forth on drywall… and ended up choosing birch wood for the interior of our Quonset hut and honestly, it changed everything.

The natural warmth of the birch completely softened the steel curves and gave the space that cozy, cabin-meets-modern feel we wanted. It brightens the interior, adds texture, and makes the whole place feel intentional instead of industrial.

The biggest surprise?

💡 Cost-wise, it ended up being comparable to drywall once installation was factored in.

If you’re building something unique…especially a Quonset hut…don’t be afraid to skip the standard choices. Sometimes the “different” option is what makes it feel like home.
