3 Switch Games that Feel Like Magic

... Read moreI recently stumbled upon Potion Craft on my Nintendo Switch, and let me tell you, it's quickly become one of my favorite cozy gaming experiences! I was initially drawn in by the promise of an alchemy simulator, and it absolutely delivers. What makes this game truly special, and perfect for the Switch, is its incredibly interactive and tactile gameplay. Imagine having a full alchemy lab right in your hands. On the Switch, I find myself using both the joy-cons and sometimes even the touchscreen (when playing handheld) to meticulously grind ingredients, stir my cauldron, and precisely pour my concoctions into bottles. There’s a real satisfaction in watching the potion's path on the alchemy map, navigating through different effects and trying to hit that perfect sweet spot for a potent brew. It’s not just about following recipes; it's about genuine experimentation, learning what each herb and mushroom does, and discovering new pathways. This constant discovery makes it feel like endless play, as I'm always trying to perfect my craft or fulfill a new customer's quirky request. The single-player experience is surprisingly immersive. You run your own shop, dealing with a colorful cast of characters who come in with various ailments or bizarre needs. Deciding whether to help a shady character with a poison or cure a peasant’s warts adds a layer of moral choice, which I really appreciate. And the graphics? Oh my goodness, the hand-drawn, medieval manuscript style is just stunning. It gives off such strong "Earth Magic vibes," making every session feel like I'm stepping into an ancient grimoire. The developers really nailed the aesthetic, earning a solid 5/5 from me in that department. At its price point of $19.99, I think it offers incredible value for the hours of relaxed yet engaging gameplay you get. It’s the kind of game I can pick up for a quick session or lose myself in for an entire evening. The portability of the Nintendo Switch makes it even better; I can brew potions on the couch, in bed, or even while traveling. It's the ultimate chill-out game after a long day. If you enjoy games that require a bit of thought, a lot of charm, and let you unleash your inner alchemist, Potion Craft on Switch is an absolute must-try. And if you're looking for more games that give off a similar magical, crafting, or mystery vibe, definitely check out Nora the wannabe ALCHEMIST for its aestheticcc charm and Strange Horticulture for its added mystery and multiple endings. They all offer unique magical journeys perfect for any gamer looking for something a little different on their Switch.

Also the game Palia. It’s free and it’s kinda a foraging, building, task game. It’s very relaxing and the graphics are great!
