Dear Grandma 💔

There’s a silence where you used to be,

A space in the air that feels heavier now.

Grief, it settles like a shadow at my feet,

Trailing me, whispering memories somehow.

I search the wind for the echo of your voice,

In the rustle of leaves, I think you’re there.

But it’s just the world turning,

Without you, unaware.

Grief, they say, is love that has nowhere to go,

So I carry it, like a stone in my chest,

And though time moves forward,

I learn to live with the weight, not rest.

Some days it crushes,

Some days it lifts like a sigh.

But your love, Grandma, stays with me,

As the years pass by.

Grief doesn’t end, it just learns to grow still,

And in the quiet, I feel you here still.

I miss you more than I can even explain.

Writing poems helps me process my feelings and navigate through grief. It’s a way to give voice to emotions that can be hard to express otherwise. Each line allows me to reflect on my memories, honor my loss, and find some peace amidst the chaos. Poetry becomes my safe space, a bridge between the heartache and the healing.❤️‍🩹

... Read moreGrief can be an overwhelming experience, often manifesting in unexpected ways. Many find solace in creative outlets like poetry, allowing them to articulate feelings that may be difficult to express verbally. In this space of vulnerability, writing can transform grief into a narrative that honors lost loved ones. Through poetry, individuals not only celebrate the lives of those they've lost but also create a safe space for their emotions to be processed. Each poem stands as a testament to love and connection, even in absence. Poetry offers a tangible bridge from sorrow to healing, where each line serves to reflect on joyous memories while acknowledging the weight of sorrow. Additionally, engaging in poetry can guide readers on their own grief journeys. It encourages openness about feelings, fostering community and support among those navigating similar paths. As one writes, they can discover that grief does not signify an end, but rather a transformation of the relationship they hold with those passed. Embracing this shift can reveal new ways to feel connected while navigating the complexities of loss and longing.
