healthy pregnancy habits
Officially in the third trimester, so I’m trying to be really intentional with implementing all of these healthy habits, especially for the last stretch of pregnancy 👶🏼
- immune support with @Beekeeper's Naturals and Needed supplements
- hydration 💧
- real big on sleep, even though pregnancy insomnia is kicking my ass lmao
- red light therapy from @The LUMEBOX
- daily walking/stretching and strength training to prep for labor
- nontoxic skin/body care products
- whole foods plus CFA and DQ blizzards.. it’s called ✨ balance ✨

During my third trimester, I've found that reinforcing these healthy habits really helps not only my physical well-being but also my mental preparedness for labor. Immune support is crucial since pregnancy naturally alters the immune system. I’ve started incorporating natural supplements like those from Beekeeper’s Naturals and Needed, which also include elderberry and propolis—known for their antiviral properties. Getting outside for sun exposure to boost vitamin D, even in colder months, makes a big difference. Hydration cannot be overstated. I aim for 80-100 ounces of water daily, sometimes using electrolyte packets to help maintain balance and avoid uterine irritability. Staying hydrated also helps reduce headaches and fatigue, common pregnancy complaints. Sleep is a challenge, especially with pregnancy insomnia, but I prioritize aiming for 7-9 hours, sometimes up to 10 hours as experts recommend in late pregnancy. Good sleep supports hormone regulation and aids tissue repair. I recently started using red light therapy, which has been a relief for muscle and joint pain, and it supports skin health—something many pregnant women find beneficial. Exercise like walking, stretching, and strength training 3-4 times a week help build muscle support for changing joints and improves pelvic flexibility. This prep work for labor also aids postpartum recovery. Switching to nontoxic skincare and household products has been an ongoing priority. Avoiding endocrine disruptors and respiratory irritants is especially important during pregnancy. I use gentle, natural body butters and masks with safe ingredients. Lastly, eating well is key. I focus on whole foods, rich in protein and healthy fats, but I also embrace balance by allowing myself occasional treats like Dairy Queen blizzards. Pregnancy is about nourishing your body and sometimes indulging, too. Overall, these habits make the last stretch of pregnancy feel manageable and empowering.
