When I Decorate Vs When He Tries…🥹💀
His disappointed face at the end was everything! Of course I didn’t let him leave that wrench hanging on the wall… HAHA. 🤣💀 At this point, I just laugh at the things he comes up with.
I felt so seen with this trend and I had to do it! At least he makes the karate chop…🤭
Living with my husband has taught me that things don’t always have to be perfect. As an interior designer, I used to believe everything had to be spotless, organized, and styled just right. But when you share a home with someone else, someone who doesn’t see things the way you do, you realize that balance is everything.
He has his own way of doing things, and while it’s not my favorite (yes, random stuff hanging around and the mess still gets to me), I’ve learned to let go a little. He doesn’t have the same eye for detail, but he tries… Sometimes…!🥹 HAHAHA
At the end of the day, it’s our home, not just mine. Meeting halfway is how we make it feel like both of us. Yeah… this is what I tell myself every day. 😩

Living with a partner often means navigating distinct tastes and styles in home decor. As an interior designer, the challenge of blending design preferences can be a humorous yet balancing act. Embracing your partner's unique aesthetic can lead to unexpected charm in your home. For instance, integrating quirky decor items or unconventional arrangements can create a warm atmosphere full of character. Sharing spaces is about compromise and open communication; discussing each other’s likes can help foster a sense of unity. When embracing your partner's choices, it’s important to remember that personal touches in a shared home cultivate a unique narrative. Humor often plays a vital role in these scenarios; laughter at seemingly silly choices can foster closeness. Balancing perfection with personality lets couples create a home filled with love and authenticity. Ultimately, the true beauty of a shared home lies in the compromise that reflects both partners' preferences, allowing for imperfections that lead to cherished memories.
