Perfect Starter Plants for Beginners ✨🪴

These plants don’t ask for much!

If you want to become a plant parent, these three plants make it super easy. They like indirect sunlight and won’t wilt right away if the soil gets dry. They can handle a little neglect! 🙂

🌿 Snake Plant: This one is super tough. It can even live in just water for a long time! But it’s best in soil. Great if you forget to water often. I water every 2-3 weeks.

🌿 Peperomia: A small and strong plant. I only water mine once or twice a month and honestly, it still does fine.

🌿 Kalanchoe (Succulent): Just give it some light and let the soil dry before watering again. This one is always next to my Peperomia and I only add water once or twice a month. The flowers are so cute!

They’ll let you know when they need water, you’ll see it in their leaves and even in their color.I have to admit, I often forget about them because I’ve placed them in spots I don’t walk by every day… and still, they’re doing great!

... Read moreFor those venturing into indoor gardening, starting with the right plants is crucial. The Snake Plant not only thrives on minimal care but also purifies the air, making it a double win for beginners. This hardy plant can adapt to low light, although it flourishes in indirect sunlight. Remember to let the soil dry out between waterings to avoid root rot. Peperomia, characterized by its thick, fleshy leaves, offers a variety of striking patterns and colors. This plant is forgivable with its watering schedule, needing just a small drink once every few weeks. Plus, its compact size allows for easy placement on desks or windowsills. Kalanchoe, a succulent known for its vibrant flowers, adds a cheerful splash to any indoor space. To ensure a happy Kalanchoe, provide plenty of light and restrict water to when the soil is completely dry. You’ll enjoy the blooming watch, as these plants are hardy and continue flourishing with minimal oversight. As you begin your plant care journey, familiarize yourself with key concepts such as light requirements and watering schedules. Each plant has its unique needs, often communicated through their leaves. Look for signs like drooping or discoloration, which can indicate their desire for more attention. Engaging with these gardening basics will not only enhance your enjoyment but nurture a thriving green haven in your home.

Sourdough starter : for beginners
TIP #1 : For your first measurement, weigh the flour using a kitchen scale so you can get an idea of how the mixture should feel. Do not weigh the measuring cup! It should be like a thick paste, like peanut butter. If you need to add a little more water to incorporate the flour, that is OK too!
