Baked Mac & Cheese Recipe
1lb of elbow noodles
Chicken broth
2 cups shredded sharp cheddar
2 cups of smoked gouda
1 cup of shredded provolone
1 half block velvetta cheese
1 tbs of flour
1/2 stick of butter
2 cups of heavy whipping cream or half and half
Garlic powder, onion powder, salt, pepper and smoked paprika
Cook pasta in chicken broth and save 1/2 cup of pasta water.
In a separate sauce pan add butter and cook on medium low heat. Add flour and constantly mix for 1 minute. Slowly add whipping cream and stir until smooth. Mix in 1 cup of cheddar, 1 cup smoked gouda, velvetta cheese, seasonings and stir for 12-15 minutes, reducing heat to low until sauce thickens.
Pour your pasta into mixing bowl and add pasta water, cheese sauce, seasonings and half of your shredded cheese. Pour half of your pasta into a baking dish and add a layer of shredded cheese. Pour the ramaining pasta and top with the rest of your shredded cheese. Sprinkle lightly with paprika for color, cover with foil and bake on 375° F for 15-20 mins. Broil on low for 1-2 minutes before removing from oven and enjoy!
