Saber Culpepper (OC)

Creating original characters (OCs) is one of my favorite artistic journeys. There’s something incredibly magical about bringing a vision from your mind into a tangible form, whether it’s a sketch, a digital painting, or even a detailed character sheet. For me, the idea for Saber Culpepper struck quite suddenly – they simply "came to me" one evening, and I knew instantly that I had to draw them. I often find inspiration in various places, much like how many of us enjoy customizing characters in games or social media. For instance, the intricate designs and unique outfits you see in Gacha games always fascinate me. There's a real art to character "fashion week" in those communities, and I try to bring that same attention to detail to my OCs. Thinking about how a character's appearance tells a story, or how different elements can be combined for a signature style, is thrilling. It's like every week is fashion week for me when I'm brainstorming new looks for my characters! Similarly, the creativity in communities like "Sims 4 furry" content creators is amazing. The desire to create and share unique, often non-human, characters resonates deeply with me. There's a wonderful freedom in designing creatures that don't adhere to typical human forms, allowing for endless imaginative possibilities. Saber Culpepper, with their blend of animalistic and fantastical elements, definitely draws from that energy. It's about building a character that feels authentically *them*, whether they're a part of a game world or my own personal universe. The purple and pink color scheme and the cute-but-edgy feel I aimed for with Saber Culpepper often remind me of the appeal of characters like Kuromi.
