Storytelling is an art that every human can do. Some people are so good at it that people feel like they are in a real event. Some people make a story that looks impressive in other people's eyes. But in fact, making a story is not difficult. Just imagine and know how to order words. People are ready to believe and amenable.
But the important thing is... truth and falsehood have thin lines.
If the story we tell is "true," it flows smoothly, like we open an album of images in our hearts and take each image out to the audience. We remember every moment, every conversation, and every feeling. Don't be afraid that it's unrealistic, because it's what we've really experienced.
But if the story we tell is "false," even if we try to make it look beautiful, how detailed it is, it takes a lot of power to remember what we said, what we lied about, how we created fictional characters, and to keep the plot consistent all the time.
The tiredness of lying is not just the first story, it's about carrying the "made-up story" all the way around, it's about the leak of unreasonableness, it's about avoiding anyone from catching the suspicions, it's about us sometimes forgetting what the beginning of the lie is.
It doesn't take the power to remember because it's already in our memories.
Lies have to remember all the details we've created, because at one point, credibility suddenly collapses.
So if we want to make a story that looks good, that stories are valuable and worth telling, using "truth" as a foundation will allow us to tell it comfortably, flowing, and not having to worry about what words will hurt ourselves.
After all, the truth may not be perfect, not fancy, but the truth will not tire us to remember.
And it will truly make us who we are.
