Different ships, different duties...People are like

♪ # Different ships, different duties...So do people.

If we look at the water at the harbor, we see many types of ships lined up or gardened, all floating on the same piece of water, but with completely different shapes, sizes and functions.

A person's life is no different from those ships...

This type of ship is designed for speed and agility, not with space to carry heavy loads, but with powerful engines ready to take passengers soaring quickly to their destination.

A huge ship that moves awkwardly, but can carry thousands of containers, must weather the monsoon in the middle of the ocean as a month without wavering.

Many people's suffering is caused by trying to compare ourselves to others.

We may be "freighters," but we are upset why we can't sail as fast as "speedboats," or vice versa. We are "speedboats," but we feel bad that we can't carry a load as big as "freighters."

In reality, the world needs all kinds of ships to complete the ecosystem. Each ship is built with a different structure and purpose, so no ship is "better than" any, only a ship that * * "does its job best" * * or not.

People, too...We all have different costs, aptitudes, and goals. Discovering what kind of ship we are, accepting our duties and potential is the key to keeping us firmly and happily on our own path.
